Improving pallet delivery services in Scotland
Scotland has long had a reputation as a challenging region for palletised freight distribution. In response to these difficulties, Pall-Ex launched the Scotland project to set new standards in services in late 2022.
Inspired by the London project, which began in early 2022, the Scotland project has transformed the logistics landscape, Pall-Ex said. The partnership with member depots, strategically positioned to reduce last-mile delivery distances, has boosted on-time delivery rates to 98%.
Furthermore, with the cooperation with eight of its shareholders in strategic locations, Pall-Ex re-engineered delivery zones to improve load and route planning, increasing efficiency and profitability. (ben)
